Back in the Vegetable Business

Well, farmin' folks... I have been out of touch for a spell, but not without cause. My Kentucky situation kind of imploded -- through no fault of my own or even Mr. or Mrs. Farmer.

I was kicked out of the program by the Kentucky Health Department. Apparently they were bothered by the fact I had no running water in my trailer. They said my living conditions were unfit for humans or some such BS. I didn't think it was a big deal... I was using the bathroom in the farmhouse anyway.

I meandered for a bit... it was a bit of a curveball. I found my way to the beautiful island of Nantucket, and found a job... on another farm no less. I am a cashier for the farm store (it is a lot bigger operation than in Kentucky), but I still got to know my vegetables.

Around Columbus Day weekend I will be headed back to the mainland to reorganize my previous professional life in the music industry and decide what to do next.

What to do next? The Question of all questions. After that I will no longer be a farmer. I have been wrestling with the moral implications of keeping a farming blog whilst away from a job in agriculture, but morals be damned. Tha Baron's Flog will live on...
